HEROMAN is a Japanese-American manga and anime series created by Marvel's Stan Lee and Bones. The manga was published in Square Enix's magazine Monthly Shōnen Gangan from August 2009 to October 2011, with its chapters collected in five tankōbon volumes. The 26-episode anime television series was produced by BONES as part of the studio's 10th anniversary, and broadcasted on TV Tokyo from April to September 2010. Stan Lee came up with the series' basic plot, referring to the series and character as "a new hero for the 21st century"
Plot[]
The story follows Joey Jones, a meek orphan who lives in Center City, West Coast, USA. An average teenager who bulied by Will and his gang, who is the brother of his crush, Lina. One day he fishes a discarded broken toy out of the garbage, fixes it and calls it Heroman. Soon after it's struck by lightning, and when he picks up its controller it becomes a gauntlet and Joey brings Heroman to life. After a group of hostile alien lifeforms called the Skrugg invade, Joey, his best friend Psy and the Professor who caused the invasion, Denton decide to fight back and save Center City.
